Help HCTC "Stuff the Bus"

Hillsborough County Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, the Education Foundation provides Hillsborough County Public Schools with funding that is typically more flexible than restricted tax dollars. The funding and extra resources for students, teachers, and schools help bridge the gap between what school budgets can cover and what is needed to ensure the academic success of Hillsborough County's students. For every dollar raised, 92 cents goes directly into the programs the Foundation provides. (www.educationfoundation.com)

Hillsborough County residents can contribute in a couple of different ways. You can purchase the Florida Supports Education specialty plate. The $20 annual fee goes directly to the Hillsborough Education Foundation.

Another way you can support the Foundation and its efforts is by donating school supplies to help "Stuff the Bus". During the month of July, the Tax Collector's office will be collecting school supplies for the Education Foundation's Teaching Tools "Stuff the Bus" promotion. Customers may drop off school supplies at any of the Hillsborough County Tax Collector locations.
