Automated Motor Vehicle Lookup Information
The Federal Driver Privacy Protection Act of 1994 was enacted in Florida under section 119.07, Florida Statutes. The law provides private citizens with the opportunity to restrict personal information contained in motor vehicle or driver license records from public disclosure. If a citizen requests his/her records to be restricted, the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicle no longer has the option of releasing that data without the written consent of the citizen.
If you qualify to be a user of the county's Automated Motor Vehicle Lookup System, you will have access to a customer's personal information.
