As Fall approaches, with it comes a sweet breeze of improvement in the air. The Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s (HCTC) office is a data driven organization, and it’s a good thing too. Data driven organizations are six times more likely to satisfy their customers! They’ve also been proven to be more productive.
Speaking of production, we improvements that we would like to share with our constituents. First, our third party payment vendor, Grant Street Group, worked with our IT department and others to replace the server associated with TaxSys, which is the cashiering system that is used for all service transactions. With this new system in place, the router communication between TaxSys and the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLDHSMV) has sped up, which has improved customer turnaround time.
So how does this impact us and you? It reduces the time it takes to complete customer transactions! Marty, Brandon Branch Manager, had this to say about cycle times: “Reducing cycle times improves employee and customer satisfaction!” A win-win!
But that’s not all! We have also started implementing Grant Street Windows Application (GWA). We began by piloting this program in the Downtown branch in July, and it was then implemented at the AAA location when this new office recently re-opened to the public. GWA not only speeds up our cashiering services, it also reduces the number of key clicks when cashiering, thus making customer transactions smoother and quicker.
