Vehicle Registration Self-Service Kiosk
You can skip the wait and renew your vehicle registration at a self-service kiosk! The kiosk is as easy to use as an ATM – with prompts in English or Spanish. Use the touch-screen to type in your license plate number and birth date or the PIN number printed on the registration renewal notice. Follow the instructions on the screen to review and pay for your registration renewal. The machine will print your new registration and decal on the spot. Grab your documents and your receipt and be on your way.
Important Note: You may only renew your registration at the self-service kiosk if your registration has NO stops or holds.

When to renew
You can renew at a kiosk any time, up to three months early. If your registration has expired, a late fee will be added.
Types of license plates that can be renewed
You can use a kiosk to renew personal automobiles, pickup trucks, motorcycles, utility trailers, and camper trailers. It will NOT renew a mobile home or vessel/boat. If your license plate is being replaced, you cannot renew using the kiosk. The kiosk will print out a receipt with message indicating that it was unable to process along with the reason.
What if I need proof of auto insurance?
Please wait 2-4 days after updating your auto insurance to renew at the kiosk. This allows time for your insurance to provide updated information to our statewide vehicle registration system. The kiosk cannot accept paper proof. Your renewal will indicate if you need proof of insurance.
Can the kiosk do other transactions?
No, the kiosk will only process a renewal. It cannot issue replacements or change the name or address on your motor vehicle registration. Please visit your local Motor Vehicle office for this service.
